As most of us are just getting back into the routine of work, family and training after the holidays, 25-year-old Jackson Laundry has been logging hours on his trainer, metres in the pool and laps on the track. He’ll be racing in just a couple month’s time, and each year the competition in the Ironman 70.3 professional men’s circuit gets more intense.
Against men over 10 years more experienced than him, former world champions and Ironman champions, Jackson found success on the North American 70.3 circuit last year with podiums and his first win.
First Endurance Canada is proud to announce a new partnership with the rising Canadian long course triathlon star as he heads into his third year as a pro in 2019 and quickly becomes one of the best over the 70.3 distance in Canada. With a commitment to becoming the best he can be, Jackson shares our values of getting the best out of ourselves through honest, hard work and using high-quality, scientifically tested products to help get us there.
2018 was a big year for Jackson; he earned his first Ironman 70.3 victory (Raleigh, May 2018), had consistent top 5 finishes in most of his races, and won Barrelman Niagara Falls. Thanks to his successes was recently was selected to join the Triathlon Ontario Long Course Development Team for 2019.
Jackson chooses First Endurance for our commitment to quality and so that he never has to worry about unwanted ingredients in the products he consumes.
“I'm excited to work with First Endurance because of their wide range of high quality products. They are developed based on what is scientifically proven to be effective for performance and that's what it's all about! I look for stringent quality control in any nutritional product that I consume — this is also a high priority for First Endurance.”
Jackson is currently training hard and is excited to begin his 2019 race campaign in a couple months.
“My main goals for 2019 are to win more pro races, and to finish top 10 at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in France,” he says. “I think I'm on track to be successful by improving just a bit across all 3 disciplines”
The Guelph, Ontario native has become a familiar face on the Ontario racing scene. Always approachable and friendly, he’s quickly becoming a fan favourite and trusted source among age groupers for training and equipment advice. We feel fortunate to have such a great ambassador for our brand and hope that if you see Jackson around this year, you’ll say hi and ask him about his favourite First Endurance products.
